Teddington, close to the river, has an excellent park, Bushy (Royal) Park popular with families, dog walkers and bikers. Hampton Court together with its royal apartments, the Maze, the formal gardens and Home Park is a great day's outing. Kingston Upon Thames has riverside bistros, a large pedestrian shopping precinct, regular street market, the Bentalls Centre, a vast shopping mall and John Lewis departmental store. Twickenham, home of the RFU, is a magnet to rugby fans with its abundance of restaurants, pubs and regular rugger fixtures. Richmond has history and charm to offer with its own theatre on the green, cobbled lanes, famous Richmond Hill and its views and the river esplanade by the bridge.
