| Noah's Place is a friendly family-run B&B near sandy Spittal beach in the ancient fortified border town Berwick-upon-Tweed. The house was built in 1792 and is situated in a conservation area. It features 3 guest bedrooms, all with kingsize beds or continental size single beds. All rooms contain books, antiques, TV and complimentary chocolates. After a wholly organic breakfast, explore the area and its stunning scenery, relax in our comfortable cafe or sit out in our pretty walled garden.
Noah's Place is an organic B&B, which means that the (mostly local) food we offer comes from certified organic sources, and is healthier, tastier and more environmentally friendly than other food. We offer a choice of traditional English breakfast (with vegetarian option) or Continental breakfast with croissants and home-baked bread. There are also discounts for guests in our tearoom, which has a selection of drinks, cakes and savouries.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is a fascinating and beautiful town to explore, with its magnificent bridges, 16th century town wall (one of the best-preserved in Europe) and many fine houses. It lies at the centre of an area of outstanding natural beauty, which also contains many nearby sites of historical interest. Situated at the mouth of the river Tweed on designated Heritage Coast, it is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful borders region of Northumberland and Scotland, with its castles, stately homes and stunning scenery. Edinburgh and Newcastle are two ideal day trip destinations and the area offers many opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, golf and observing wildlife.
We are on National Cycle Road No.1 and offer secure storage for bicycles. If you arrive by train, we are happy to pick you up from the station. There is also ample free parking outside the house.
