| Squirrels is an elegant late-Victorian House where we offer first class hospitality. We have five en-suite rooms and one with a private shower room. There are generous hospitality trays in the rooms plus colour TV and DVD player and a free library of DVDs for your enjoyment. Should you get wet while taking advantage of all the outdoor activities offered in Llangollen, we will dry your clothes.
Our breakfasts are celebrated for their style and taste and we provide vegetarian and vegan breakfasts.
We have a safe car park.
Our garden boundary is next to the Royal International Pavilion which is the home of the International Eisteddfod which is the largest musical event in the world. For the first week in July every year Llangollen welcomes competitors from all countries to take part in the Eisteddfod. We always enjoy this week. The town is packed with children and adults dressed in their national costumes and they sing and dance in the streets, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Celebrity concerts are hosted in the evenings of this Eisteddfod week. In 2006 we are looking forward to seeing Bryn Terfel and Katherine Jenkins.
The River Dee flows through Llangollen, or rather rushes. We have plenty of good restaurants and lots of beautiful little shops.
We are not allowed many words on this page, and only two pictures, so I am showing a picture of the house and one of Mary, our furry PR person. She also has the title of rodent officer - she is very good...we have no rodents at all.
Do visit our website.
We look forward to seeing you. Lilian and Peter.
